The 2006 annual meeting of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) is set to take place this week, from Tuesday, June 20 through Friday 23 in Boston, MA.
The event will be held at the Westin Copley Plaza hotel and will be attended by over 500 health care professionals from the nation's 58 organ procurement organizations and many who are involved in the organ procurement field. Numerous speakers and discussions are scheduled for the 4 days, from organizations such as the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) to discussion of tissue allografts by Paul O'Flynn, Executive Director of the Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) to Donna Bishop, Manger of the Donor Center at LifeNet, the nation's larget OPO-based tissue processor and call center operator.
Transplant Connect, the leading provider of information technology to the organ procurement field, for the third year in a row will be a prominent sponor and exhibitor at the event.
